Our Process

There are various ways to complete a major assignment. Some are general. For entire machine lines, our clients require a very detailed and sequential process in order to install the line or equipment in the proper way to minimize start up time and costs and to maximize long term profitability with the few maintenance interruptions.

Our Process starts with a review of the plans, meeting with the client, jobsite visits, and establishing the proper procedure. By paying attention to the details in the beginning we minimize the challenges later.

  1. The basic process for a machine line installation is as follows:
    1. Perform an Industrial Survey of the site to determine the exact machine location. Establish the foundation layout, machine footprint, machine axis and baseline, and sole plate layout.
    2. Unload machine line sections, place onto footprint, optically align and level the machine sections and ensure all sections function as one unit. Document all alignment specifications at start-up for future reference. We can provide this in an AUTOCAD format, for ease of reference and operation.
  2. The procedure for industrial surveying
    1. A point of origin is established. If our client supplies a point of origin from a drawing, we establish that in the field. If not, we create that point of origin on the jobsite. Next we establish other reference points and save them so as to reuse later.
    2. If and when the surveying equipment is relocated on the site, we shoot these previously established points of reference to exactly position to the new instrument location. From any given point on the jobsite or property we can refer to a series of pre-established points to always know precisely where we are at any given time and place.
    3. An industrial survey can have a host of variables. Some measurements cannot be obtained directly by line-of-site. In such a case our customized targetry and process obtains the results.
    4. We offer our clients the service of a complete facility survey whether pre-construction, during construction, or post construction for existing structures. We can show you the placement of virtually every item within the plant and its' relation to other items with precise measurements. How far is that bar joist bottom from the floor? We'll tell you in seconds. Then you'll know if your new equipment will fit.

How We Help

To us, problems are only challenges to be overcome. When challenges are surmounted, we call those solutions. When solutions are applied, they become resolutions. When issues are resolved, we call that a good days' work.
